Project scope:
This project (Mega Package 1) consists of the Works of Package 6- Kindi Street and Package 10- Al-Sharif Naser Bin Jameel Street as follows:

Package 6-Kindi Street
Construction of a BRT designated route from Wadi Saqrah intersection through Al kindi Street, prince Faysel Ibn Al Hussein intersection, Mohammed Ali Jamal Street and finally princess Basmah Street where it connects with BRT package 2 works.
The route comprises two lanes consisting mainly of flexible (asphalt surfaced) pavements with rigid (concrete) pavements at stations. The route is approximately 1187m long.

Work also includes:
 Construction of sidewalks finished with various types of tiles and pavers.
 Street Lighting.
 Retaining walls.
 Storm water drainage connected to existing system.
 Demolition and utility relocations as indicated.

Package 10- Al-Sharif Naser Bin Jameel Street
The Construction of part of BRT route from Wadi Saqra Intersection through Al-Sharif Naser Bin Jameel Street, Omar Bin Abed Al-Aziz Intersection (Days Inn Traffic light), Al-Komodor Intersection and finally connects with Sport City Intersection.
The works consists but not limited to the following:-
 Design review, modify and redesign (If required).
 Removing, demolition or realignment of any obstructions.
 Construction of around 2100m BRT route comprises two lanes constructed predominately of flexible pavement with the rigid pavements at stations.
 Construction of bus stations.
 Construction of one way Underpass (760m long) with 230m underpass retaining walls.
 The construction of one way bridge 180m length and 8.1 m width.
 Construction of Adjacent streets as shown on drawings or directed by the engineer.
 Street pavement extension, and asphalt overlay.
 Construction of Adjacent sidewalks, medians & dividers running along the BRT running way finished with various types of tiles as shown on drawings.
 Construction of retaining walls for BRT route, and boundary walls.
 Construction of New storm water system.
 Adjusting the height of existing manholes / catch basins or any existing structure to be flush with final asphalt or sidewalk finish level.
 Underground utilities & conduits under station platforms and under medians as shown on typical cross section drawings.
 Installation of lighting facilities as shown on drawings.
 Installation of underpass ventilation facilities as shown on drawings.
 Installation of traffic signals as shown on drawings at the different junctions with all associate works.
 The construction of at-grade intersections as per Engineer’s instructions and as shown on the drawings.
Construct the project elements using an efficient and practical management plan with work schedule and detour plan to ensure adequate traffic flow with minimum disturbance in the project critical area.
Contractor should submit in consultation with G.A.M a demolition & construction program with proper staging of work so as to guarantee the traffic movement in all directions, and minimize the impact on pedestrians during construction, for engineer’s approval.
Participation in tendering process is open to qualified (international and local) Contractors. Local contractors should be (road construction- class A) or (concrete construction, bridges, intersections and tunnels- class A)
Bidders may collect a copy of the tender documents from the Tendering and Procurement Department at the Greater Amman Municipality (second floor) by an authorized representative of the bidder who will be obliged to submit a certified official copy of the bidder’s company business registration, the fee for the tender documents is (300 JD) non-refundable or any equivalent amount in any convertible currency exclusive transaction or currency conversion fees.

Upon receipt of appropriate evidence of payment of the non-refundable fee, the documents will promptly be dispatched by courier; however, no liability can be accepted for their loss or late delivery.
The last date for purchasing tender documents is (Thursday, 27 December 2018 at 1400 hrs (Amman Local Time).
All inquiries should be addressed to GAM Assets and Supply Chain Directorate/Tendering and Procurement Department at the address shown below no later Wednesday, 2 January 2019 at 1500 hrs (Amman Local Time).
The submission of Tenders must be received in sealed envelopes, either delivered by hand or by courier to GAM at the address noted below no later than Monday, 28 January 2019 at 1200 hrs.) noon (Amman Local Time). Late responses will not be considered.
The proposal must be submitted in a single package containing two envelopes, sealed separately and clearly marked (Tender Number, Tender Name, and Bidders Name).
a. The first envelope must include the Technical Proposal and its Related CD (envelopes should contain 3 hardcopies (1 original and 2 copies) and 1 soft copy (CD)). It must be clearly marked (Tender Number, Tender Name, and Bidders Name) in addition to marking the envelope as copy or original. This envelope must include a bid security, the amount of the bid security shall be (JOD 690,000) and must be valid for 120 days from the date of tender submission.
b. The second envelope must include the Financial Proposal. (envelopes should contain 3 hardcopies (1 original and 2 copies) and 1 soft copy (CD)) This envelope should also include the form of tender filled and duly signed by the bidder It must be clearly marked (Tender Number, Tender Name, Bidders Name and Financial Proposal in addition to marking the envelop as copy or original. Bidders are requested to follow up the issuance of any further instructions and amendments to the Tender document.
GAM reserves the right to accept or reject any Proposal, and to annul the Tender process and reject all proposals at any time, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders.
Bidders will be advised, in due course, of the results of their proposals.
