The Hydro Expert will provide strategic and technical support to AFD and PLN for the preparation and development of hydropower projects in Indonesia under the IETF (Indonesia Energy Transition Facility). Services include screening and reviewing PLN’s hydro project proposals, identifying priority projects and supervising IETF-financed hydropower studies. The expert will facilitate technical dialogue, support procurement processes, review consultants’ deliverables and facilitate dialogue with local stakeholders.


The IETF (€14.7M, EU-French funded) is a technical assistance programme designed in partnership with Indonesian stakeholders to support the country’s clean energy transition. It builds on the Just Energy Transition Partnership momentum to help advance fair and inclusive policies, while facilitating the preparation of renewable energy and transmission projects.
