Request for Proposal (RFP)

Purchase of Electrical Energy from Wind Farm Project(s)

RFP Reference no.: RFP-SBPU-21-056
OPEN INTERNATIONAL BIDDING
1. The Central Electricity Board invites sealed bids from prospective bidders for Purchase of Electrical Energy from Wind Farm Project(s).


2.. The complete sets of Bidding Document can be downloaded, free of charge, from the CEB’s website https://ceb.mu/procurement/tender


3. Any clarification sought by bidders in respect of this bidding exercise shall be addressed to the Chairman Tender Committee, Central Electricity Board on the e-mail address: ctc@ceb.intnet.mu


4. Bids in a sealed envelope clearly marked for “Purchase of Electrical Energy from Wind Farm Project(s)” and the reference number: RFP-SBPU-21-056 should be addressed to The Chairman Tender Committee and should either be deposited in the Tender Box at CEB Office, Royal Road, Curepipe, Republic of Mauritius or sent by registered post or courier service at the address mentioned above on Wednesday 29 September 2021 up to 13.30 hours (Mauritian time) at latest.
Electronic bidding shall not be permitted. Late bids will be returned unopened.

5.The Bidder shall furnish a Bid Security along with their bids in the amount of MUR 1 Million/MW. The Bid Security shall be issued by a Commercial Bank operating in Mauritius and shall remain valid up to 30 days after the Bid Validity date, i.e. up to 26 April 2022.


6 Bids will be opened on the same day as from 13.45 hours (Mauritian time) in the Conference Room of the Central Electricity Board office, 3rd Floor, New Building, Royal Road, Curepipe, Republic of Mauritius in the presence of bidder/bidders’ representatives who choose to attend.


7. The Central Electricity Board reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to award of the Contract, without thereby incurring any liability to any Bidder.
