Project Name: Isingiro Water Supply and Sanitation Project – Package 1: Host communities outside Refugee Settlements

1. The Ministry of Water and Environment received funds from Agence Française de Développement ("AFD") towards the cost of Isingiro Water supply and Sanitation Project. It is intended to apply part of the funds to payments under the contract for package 1: Isingiro Water Works. The Complete scope of works includes:
The firm works package includes :
• Construction of approximatelky 10 steel distribution new reservoirs with capacities between 600 m³ and 100 m³, 7 sumps (reinforced concrete and steel with capacities between 1,300 m³ and 300 m³), and 12 pumping stations with flows between 300 m³/h and 15 m³/h spread over 18 sites;
• Laying of approximatively 123 km of transmission mains (DN110 to DN400 in ductile Iron, HDPE, PVC), including connections with existing reservoirs (Kabaare, Ngarama, Masha and Kabuyanda) and the newest Kabingo and Kagera pumping stations;
• Laying of approximatively 110 km of distribution network (OD90 to OD250), including connections to existing distribution networks.
Optional Package A:
This package A includes the transmission main from Isingiro town to Kityaza reservoir in DN 400 (around 22km) and the KITYAZA reinforced concrete sump of 2 000 m3, including the pumping station (290 m3/h) and their mechanical and electrical equipment.
Optional Package B:
This package B includes approximately 350 km of distribution networks (OD 63 to OD 250) to be laid within the Isingiro District.
It also includes 4 alternative technical solutions to supply 4 remoted pumping stations with solar panel instead of Generators with fuel.
2. The Ministry of Water and Environment now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the construction and completion of ISINGIRO WATER SUPPLY WORKS ("the Works").
3. Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the documents at the Ministry of Water and Environment (address below) from 09:00am to 04:00 p.m. E AT.
4. A complete electronic set of Bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of UGX. 2,000,000 (Uganda shillings two Million shillings only). The method of payment will be by bank advise forms which may be obtained form the Ministry of Water and Environment Accounts offi ces/Uganda revenue Authority Website. Payment can be made in the any Local bank and the payment details presented to the Procurement and Disposal Unit. The electronic documents should be collected by the prospective Bidder or his representative. No Liabiltiy will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
5. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes, delivered to the address below on or before 10:00 a.m EAT on 08th of Aug ust, 2023 and must be accompanied by a bid security of EURO 1.0 Million.
