Design and Build of the Modernization of signaling system and track rehabitation for Tanta-El Mansoura-Demitta corridor and doupling of El-Mansoura / Demitta Line Project

The Egyptian National Railways has received funds from Agence Française de Développement ("AFD") toward the cost of the Modernization of signaling system and track rehabitation for Tanta-El Mansoura-Demitta corridor and doupling of El-Mansoura / Demitta Line Project, and it intends to apply part of the funds to payments under the contract for the a Design and Build of the afore-mentioned Project on one Contract to include the following:
• Upgrading of the 54 km Tanta-El Mansoura existing non-electrified double track railway section;
• Doubling and upgrading of the 65 km El Mansoura-Damietta existing non-electrified single track railway section;
• Re-signalling of the whole 119 km Tanta-El Mansoura-Damietta railway line.

The Employer intends to initially select a maximum of seven (7) firms for the Design and Build of the Modernization of signaling system and track rehabitation for Tanta-El Mansoura-Demitta corridor and doupling of El-Mansoura / Demitta Line. It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in [August 2023].
Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from Egyptian National Railways (address below) during the working hours (from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm). A complete set of the Initial Selection Documents in English may be purchased by interested Applicants (a) on the submission of a written application to the address below and (b) upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Five Hundred Dollars. The method of payment will be cash money, direct deposit to specified account (mentioned below). The Documents will be handed-over thereafter by hand in hard copy format.
Applications for initial selection should be submitted in in closed, clearly marked envelopes and delivered to the address below by 11:00 a.m. on [01/10/2023]. Late application may be rejected.
