The Mozambique Ports and Railways (Portos e Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique, E.P.) has applied for a financing from Agence Française de Développement ("AFD"), and intends to use part of the funds thereof for payments under the following project : Upgrading of the Maputo – Ressano Garcia Railway Line.
The scope of the consulting services related to this project is threefold:
a) Detailed design
I. Detailed design for duplication of the Movene – Ressano Garcia section, including bridges
II. Detailed design for the extension of the Ressano Garcia yard
III. Detailed design for the replacement and upgrade of the signalling for the whole line (from Maputo to Ressano Garcia)
IV. Elaboration of a detailed Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), a Resettlement Action Plan (RAP), a Livelihood Restoration Plan (LRP), a Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP), a Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) and a Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA)
V. Support in the implementation of the detailed Environnemental & Social studies and management plans

b) Preparation of the relevant Tender Documents for the two Works contract (the first for doubling & yard extension, the second for signalling) including the Development of the Tender Documents for construction works, in accordance with the AFD Procurement Guidelines;

c) Supervision (civil works and signalling), project management and works contract administration
