The Mozambique Ports and Railways (Portos e Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique, E.P.) has applied for a financing from Agence Française de Développement ("AFD"), and intends to use part of the funds thereof for payments under the following project : Upgrading of the Maputo – Ressano Garcia railway line, which include the following:
1- Duplication of the Movene – Ressano Garcia section;
2- Extension of the Ressano Garcia yard;
2 – Upgrade of the Signalling on the Maputo – Ressano Garcia line.

The scope of the consulting services related to this project includes the following main missions:

- Project management support - support to CFM’s Project Implementation Unit, interface coordination support, technical & financial reporting;
- Procurement and contracts’ management support - support to the procurement processes for the selection of the two Contractors (1 for Civil Works, 1 for signalling) according to AFD’s Procurement Guidelines, support in contracts management;
- Financial management support – support in the management and auditing of the project account, preparation of disbursements;
- Environmental and social risks’ management support – support to CFM’s Environnemental & Social (E&S) team in the review of the E&S studies and the implementation of the E&S management plans.
