RE ADVERTISING OF BID NO. EEP/ST/ICB/03/2024
Procurement of Personal Protective Equipment & Uniforms
1. Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) has budget to be used for the procurement of Personal Protective
Equipment & Uniforms through International competitive bidding (ICB).
2. Ethiopian Electric Power now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for procurement of Personal
Protective Equipment & Uniforms that are critically important to support core EEP business processes.
3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ethiopian Electric Power and inspect the
Bidding Documents at the address given below from 8:00 AM. to 5:00 PM., Monday to Friday excluding
weekends and public holidays.

4. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission
of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 5,500 or USD 100
from the Ethiopian Electric Power. The method of payment shall be in cash or cashier’s check or through
telegraphic transfer to EEP Transmission Construction A/C No.1000252665203, Commercial Bank of
Ethiopia (CBE), Arada Giorgis Branch, Swift Code: CBETETAA; and EEP BUMBUNA HPP A/C No.
0101181300051, NATIONAL BANK OF ETHIOPIA (NBE), Swift Code: NBETETAA, for ETB and USD
currency respectively starting from  19 December, 2024.
5. Bids must be delivered before the closing date and time to the above mentioned address. All bids must be
accompanied by a bid security in the form of Bank Guarantee as mentioned below.
6. Bids must be delivered to the above address on or before 2:00 PM, Local time (Addis Ababa) on 21 th
January, 2025 and All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in USD 23,000.00 (Twenty three
thousand USD) for foreign bidders & ETB 3,000,000.00(Three million ETB) for Local bidders. Electronic
bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
7. Bid will be opened in the presence of the bidder’s or bidders representatives who choose to attend on 21 th
January, 2025 at 2:30PM Local time (Addis Ababa).
8. The Ethiopian Electric Power reserves the right to reject any or all bid.
