The Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership (ETP), in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the United Nations Commission for Asia and the Pacific
(ESCAP), is providing technical assistance for the establishment of an ASEAN School of Regulation to enhance the capacity of
energy regulators in ASEAN. This initiative addresses the urgent need for effective regulatory frameworks to support energy transition and cross-border power trade in the region under the ASEAN Power Grid initiative. Through a comprehensive needs assessment, a pilot
summer school, and a sustainable concept proposal, the project aims to empower regulators with essential skills and knowledge while promoting gender equality and social inclusion. By fostering a
collaborative learning environment, the School will facilitate knowledge sharing and equip regulators to navigate emerging energy challenges, ultimately contributing to sustainable energy systems.
